7 Month Old Baby Pee Smells Like Poop

OK,so this is pretty distasteful, but if I can't talk about poo to you lot I don't know who I am going to be able to talk about it with!! My simply-3 year old is all the same in nappies. She has had chronic constipation since nascency just it is beingness managed by daily movicol doses. So far and so good. But we take only come back from vacation (this state, nowhere exotic) where the dosage has been pretty hit and miss (not analogous with husband at all well!). She seems happy and fine, has been drinking tons of water and juice and she has passed a few solid poos merely for the past 36hours her wet nappies accept smelt STRONGLY like diahorrea(sp?). Am wondering if this is just one of those odd things that happen sometimes, or indicative of something I ought to be worried well-nigh? Can't book the doctors as its a banking concern holiday! Was wondering if anyone else has experienced this before and could requite me some communication? Thank you

How long have the nappies been on for?

I don't have any experience of the constipation, only when my DD2 (2) wakes in the morning with a

full nappy, I've found information technology oftentimes smells like she's poo-ed when she hasn't.  I'm guessing information technology'due south some reaction between the chemicals in the nappy and that corporeality of urine.

Has she been eating anything different? Things similar asparagus, cabbage and strangely saccharide puffs give urine a stiff not very prissy odour inadults and children, so perchance it could exist this? xx

Hmmm, that is an interesting idea I hadn't thought of...
Nonetheless I changed her nappy one-half an hour agone and the stink is well and truly back! Especially every bit she is currently leaning over me 'helping' me blazon; as my 6yr old would say, peeoooww:faint:

New foods? Hadn't thought of that either, and we accept been on hols eating some pretty tragic cr*p for the terminal ten days! Lets merely say, my kids are no strangers to pizza at the moment...

My little boys nappies smell like poo when they are really full aswell...merely if you are actually worried and then perchance take ur piffling one to Em doctor if you have one in your area, or ring NHS direct and see what they advise.

Im not sure?

Is she in any pain? Does she have a temperature at all?

I would be inclined to popular a urine sample to your GP or if your worried over the Bank Vacation, get some advice over the phone from yous On Telephone call GP.

It could very well be food related, but I recollect it would exist wise to get her checked out

Thanks Suzi, recollect I might get with the urine sample. She seems completely fine in herself in the day (although she is special needs and has no way of telling me if anything doesnt experience correct) She too she has an insanely loftier pain threshold, so would merely carry on through pains that would normally be alarm signs in other kids. However concluding night she has had a raging temperature, wringing wet bedsheets she was sweating so desperately, but absolutely perfect and happy every bit larry by morning. Have just checked on her tonight and she looks like I've just washed her pilus its and then moisture. The odour is there strongly though her nappy is barely clammy. Hmmm. Remember we need to try and find a doc tomorrow somehow. Timing is CCCCRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAP. Unfortunately, we've promised her sister a massive fun mean solar day upwards in London at hamleys and an ice foam parlour for being such a trooper for never complaining about the compromises she always has to make because of her sisters problems, for example shes ENDLESSLY having to sit quietly in doctors waiting rooms instead of having fun days out in the holidays. Oh God, feel like Evil Mum...:nmssob:

Sorry for being out for a while, somehow we lost all our broadband connection to the house so no Cyberspace and more than importantly - no TV. Argh, the end of the holidays and NO CBEEBIES. Anyway, was unable to get a doctors appt, and then nosotros bit the bullet and had our 'fun' day out. Petty i coped fine, and interestingly, her wee had less poo stink by the end of the day. Has faded again since so. Haven't changed any of the normal stuff we do, simply seems to be going by itself. Looks similar it was just one of those freaky things that happen. Am seeing a friend who's a GP Mon, so will check with her. Thank you for all your kindness and help

Take all the poo smelling nappies come up from the aforementioned packet?

A few months ago my DD3'southward wet nappies were smelling really strange, I was starting to get worried too, only when I went on to a new package the smell went abroad. I decided information technology was the nappies rather than DD's pee that was causing it

Thanks for coming dorsum to us Caroline Glad you footling ane is happy and has no additional symptons. It'southward proficient you are seeing your friend who is a GP, I would be interested to hear what she says if you wouldn't listen posting dorsum?
